Frequently asked questions
Can I quote OufBet in an article?
Yes. The barometer's measurements are under the CC BY 4.0 licence: you can reuse, publish and adapt them, as long as you credit OufBet and link to the page. The citation line above is ready to paste.
Is embedding the barometer free?
Yes, with no account or sign-up. The code shows the ranking of the province you choose, with the link to OufBet. The embedded page is not indexed by search engines, so it never competes with your own page.
How often do the numbers change?
The embedded ranking is recalculated from the live odds, at most every 30 minutes. The weekly editions are frozen and never recalculated: cite them for a number that will not move.
How is the payout calculated?
For every upcoming game, OufBet reads the moneyline of every sportsbook licensed in the province and works out what it returns to bettors (1 ÷ the sum of the inverse odds), then averages it by sportsbook. Only sportsbooks whose prices we have checked are ranked.
Betting is entertainment for adults only (19 and over in Ontario, 18 and over in Alberta).
